About
Founder Keir Worthy is a martial arts student, athlete and movie fan. As an experienced communications consultant and expert, Mr. Worthy recognized the opportunity for positive international experience and cultural exchange through the lens of martial arts film and media. Core principals like honor, compassion for the weak, and looking inward to improve transcend country, region and specific martial arts styles. In this ever shrinking world, the martial arts masters and students have been on the path of world peace for centuries. The movies help to get us talking to each other.

Founder Leo Ramos is a life-long martial arts fan, occasional practitioner and former Olympic weightlifting hopeful. He has lived by principles of discipline, dedication, and sacrifice in pursuit of improving his mind and body through sport. Professionally Mr. Ramos has decades of experience in business and the film and digital media production industry. Understanding the power of telling a story with visual images, and knowing the impact movies like Enter The Dragon, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and Ip Man have had in his personal life, Mr. Ramos is committed to expanding the audience of martial arts movies with the hope audiences will be entertained and gain understanding and compassion for each other.

A passion for martial arts, for movies and for people to learn from and show compassion to each other led Mr. Worthy and Mr. Ramos to found the World Martial Arts Film Federation and launch the first ever film festival exclusively dedicated to martial arts films, the talented athletes who star in them, and the fight choreographers, directors and other film makers who make these movies possible.

Our Mission
The World Martial Arts Film Federation is dedicated to the preservation of martial arts history and the integrity of martial arts films in order to promote cross cultural communications and mutual respect around the world.
Our Vision
We have a vision of people from around the world meeting in one place to experience martial arts movies in theaters like never before, and share knowledge and wisdom in panel and group discussions with true masters, academics, practitioners and film makers.

This is the why of the U.S. Martial Arts Film Festival.

We endeavor to find, purchase and preserve martial arts movies and tv series prints, building an archive that will be open to academics and the public. This is our second main purpose.
